I started Take Time Home Cleaning in 2009. My mission was, and still is: to provide a hassle-free, exceptional cleaning service, at a price that most people can afford.

As a full time high school teacher/college instructor with a large and very busy household, I remember going to work on Monday feeling as tired as I did the Friday before. Hence, the slogan Take Time to Live Well and the tag line Creating Free Time for Busy People.

I wanted to improve quality of life for hard working people who really needed some “me” time. Whether that meant, spending more time with family and friends, developing hobbies or new skills, or lying on the couch binge watching Netflix, everyone needs a mental breather to recharge and enjoy life!

Today, sixteen years later, we are the largest and most awarded cleaning company. How do we do it? A strong belief in our mission; great systems and operations; but mostly a wonderful and cohesive admin staff that work hard, collaborate and sincerely strive to produce the best hassle-free cleaning service for our clients.

Hi there. My name is Lynette. I was born and spent my early years on the east coast. I am the oldest of 5 children and have three children of my own. I have been taking care of people my whole life.

I started working at Take Time  December of 2021. I have enjoyed every day since. I feel lucky to provide continued care to Take Time clients and their families.  This job has been a dream. I am lucky to be part of a team that wants the same thing I do.

Hello and welcome! My name is Vira, and I’ve been part of the Take Time team since 2024.

At Take Time, I help find new team members and support them as they take their first steps with the company. From the very first contact, I aim to make the process clear, comfortable, and welcoming.

Once they begin, I continue to support new team members by explaining how things work, sharing company standards and expectations, and being available whenever questions come up. It’s important to me that everyone feels confident, supported, and never alone as they settle into the team.

I truly value the warm, supportive atmosphere at Take Time and the opportunity to help people adapt and grow within the company.

Hey everyone! My name is Ashley and I started with Take Time in January of 2021, originally as a cleaner. However, in a matter of months I was given the opportunity to step up and train and quality check other cleaners. Nowadays things have changed a little and I’m in charge of cleaner relations, supplies, and scheduling. It’s my job to ensure that each cleaner has the tools and knowledge they need for each home, as well as be a contact for clients looking to edit or arrange their cleaning schedules.

How We Guard Against Cross-Contamination:

Textiles:  All materials used in our service such as microfiber cloths, mop heads etc are professionally laundered using industrial grade machines:  washed, steamed at over 80C and dried at a high temperature.  Laundering procedures are the same as those used in medical facilities.
Vaccums:   We use top of the line bagless Shark vacuums.  Top rated on Best Products Canada and Consumer’s Report for hepa filter quality; suction power and safety on all floor types including hardwoods.
Most importantly, they are BAGLESS, which allows us to thoroughly sanitize our vacuums between homes and therefore, prevent cross contamination.  We will Never use vacuums that require bags.  Regardless of the quality of the hepa filter, if the bag is not changed at each home, some microscopic germs/viruses Can still escape through the hepa filter.  (Hepa Filters) won’t remove every particle.  “Unfortunately HEPA filters will not remove pollutants from the air that are smaller than 0.3 microns, including viruses, some bacteria, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). ” Taken from EPA.
Most companies Do Not change vacuum bags between jobs because of the cost, therefore, you are at risk of contamination as soon as the vacuum cleaner is turned on.  Hepa filters help but do not ensure that all germs and viruses captured in a previous home will not escape and disperse in another home.
